this started out as a grand guerilla photography idea. i thought it would be a funny take on the regular squeege kid who washes car windows. the big plan was to head downtown with friends and try and shoot this live, in the street, and pay a squeege kid to wash my helmet. but, due to no one being able get together at the same time on the same day, i had to compromise. so, me on the bike, and my friend shawn as the squeege kid we shot in my garage. later i went downtown and shot the background as a 7 exposure hdr. i also had to get into a yelling match with a squeege girl about me not asking permission to take her picture, despite the fact i kept moving AWAY from her cause she kept getting in the way. anyway... garage lighting was rather extensive. i knew i wanted a sunset type light on us. so i shot with that in mind. then, unfortunately when i got downtown to shoot the bg, we missed sunset by about 10 min, so my background had to be extensively processed to bring a low sun angle back into the image. while it might not necessarily look like sunset (nice and warm orange), it still reads as sun/shadow, instead of all shadow which is how it was at the time of shooting. i decided to have a beam of sun running across the street, illuminating us, and a portion of the car behind us, as if it was just starting to creep into the light. id probably do more work on this, but having some paying work for a change so im calling this one done. all in all i think it worked out well.
